On A Thursday Evening At Parrish's

Lafayette County Courthouse, Oxford, Mississippi
regarding the clock in the tower, The Oxford Eagle reported on August 9:
“Just days away from having a lawsuit filed against him, master clockmaker Lloyd Larrish of Minnesota arrived back in Oxford on Friday to complete the work he had been hired to do more than three years ago — fix and restore the historic Lafayette County Courthouse clock.” see: http://oxfordeagle.com/2010/08/clock-to-be-repaired/
but, comparing the photo in the linked article with the above photo, taken August 25 (around 10am), it seems that time has not (yet) moved-on at the County Courthouse.

Handbills in Hebrew
i can translate only the title of the handbill on the left (ie, the green letters on a black banner). it reads “the Sabbath Kiddush” (ie, refreshments {tradionally wine} with accompanying blessings following a Sabbath service).
Hebrew reads from right to left, and the first letter of the title “hey” is a prefix that translates as “the”. the next letter, to its left, is “shin”, then “beth”, then “tav”. hence, “shabat” (there are no vowels in Hebrew — except when there are.)
the second word begins with “kof”, then “dahlet”, then “vav” (which in this case is pronounced like a “u” {don’t ask}), then “shin” again. thus, “kiddush”.
